Due to the bad weather in Freyburg (Unstrut), the Landesturnverband Sachsen-Anhalt has cancelled this year's Jahn Gymnastics Festival. However, the Landesturnverband, the Jahn-Gesellschaft, the Burgenlandkreis and the city did not want to renounce the wreath-laying ceremony at Jahn's grave of honour, even if only a small circle of participants was possible. It was all the more pleasing that representatives of the partners from the region, who are so important for our work, accepted the invitation, first and foremost District Administrator G\u00f6tz Ulrich. They were warmly welcomed by the Vice President of the Jahn Society, Dr. Gerlinde Rohr, with a short speech on the special importance of traditions, also and especially in these times.
