There are also many interesting things to see for our little visitors. On guided tours suitable for children, children learn all kinds of interesting facts about the life of the "gymnastics father" and the subsequent quiz gives them time to explore the house independently.

Offer 2Water fun & thirst for knowledge
We offer an interesting hiking day which combines paddling fun on the Unstrut and a visit to the museum.
The hiking day starts with a canoe tour on the Unstrut (from Laucha to Freyburg). After arriving in Freyburg, the groups will take a guided tour of the Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Museum.
What do Napoleon and the Battle of Leipzig have to do with gymnastics? In the former home of the "gymnastics father" children and young people get an answer to these and other questions. They will learn everything worth knowing about the "Turnvater" and the gymnastics movement initiated by him, which was connected to the early national movement from the beginning. After the guided tour you will have a refreshment in the museum garden. You can choose between two options. Depending on the time available, groups can barbecue on the museum grounds themselves or take advantage of a catering package (see service description). The barbecue is held on the museum terrace with its magnificent view of the beautiful Unstrut valley. In case of bad weather the vaulted cellar is available. All necessary barbecue utensils are provided by the museum. Barbecue food and drinks will be organized by us. (Of course it is also possible to bring your own food and drinks).
