The new "Jahn-Report" is here: The new issue, the 57th edition since July 1994, was published before Christmas. The brochure is an impressive 60 pages long. Under "News", the main topics are the 99th Jahn Gymnastics Festival last summer in Freyburg and voluntary work (author: Gerhard Mengesdorf, who was President of the Badischer Turner-Bund for 27 years). Key articles deal with the development of gymnastics from the Hasenheide in 1811 to the modern club (Rainer Brechtken, DTB President from 2000 to 2016) and the importance of a sense of tradition in an association such as the DTB. Several reports, two book reviews and the entertaining "Notes" round off this richly illustrated magazine.
