Description
In cooperation with the Freyburg winery Grober-Feetz, the Jahn Museum has been offering an exclusive and limited edition Jahn wine since 2026. The estate bottling includes three selected wines from the Saale-Unstrut region and combines regional wine culture with the Jahn Museum:
2024 Riesling Muschelkalk: Ripe apricot & yellow apple on the nose with a mild acidity on the palate, balanced and smooth.
(Unit price €13.00)
2025 Rosino: Fresh fruity notes of blackcurrant & pomegranate on the nose. A sparkling, lively summer companion.
(Unit price €11.00)
2022 Mühlengang red: Notes of ripe sour cherry, smoky wood, and a hint of leather. On the palate, Mediterranean herbs and light tannin.
(Unit price €15.50)
Particularly noteworthy are the individually designed labels made from high-quality and sustainable grass paper, which feature motifs from the collection and memorial sites of the Jahn Museum:
The red wine depicts the ceiling fresco showing the Turner Cross in the Freyburg Jahn Hall of Honor. The white wine's label features a portrait of Friedrich Ludwig Jahn based on Engelbach's depiction from 1846. And the rosé wine presents a historical photograph of female gymnasts during the exercise „Circle Formation with Hand Grasp“ around 1930 (edited photograph from the collection of the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Museum).
With Jahn wine, you can not only discover a piece of regional enjoyment – at the same time, you are supporting the work of the Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Society.
Shipping costs for the 3-piece set: plus 9 € (DHL package)
